Beautiful Day
Green almond, sappy and milky more than marzipan-sweet, meets the powdered almond of heliotrope in this composition by Maurice Roucel, and the nut smells both young and sugared. Bitter orange and lily-of-the-valley freshen it, orange blossom brings heavier, indolic petals, and vanilla, tonka and musk turn the almond into pale cream.
