Elemi stands for the resins proper, tolu and benzoin for the balsams, and myrrh, opoponax and incense for the gum resins, with labdanum adding its dark honey. Star anise and mace spice the mixture, rooibos and coffee add a roasted, tea-like dryness, and jasmine sambac, fruity and green, lays a flower into the tonka.
