Shocking
White honey, pale and floral, meets the darker honey of narcissus, heavy with hay and something animal, around jasmine, rose and ylang-ylang. This 1937 composition by Jean Carles opens on the anise of tarragon and the champagne fizz of aldehydes, and aged civet, musky and softly sweet, joins clove, amber and patchouli in the base.
