Crackling spice fills the top: the piney bite of black pepper, the woody sweetness of nutmeg and the clove-rich warmth of pimento. Olibanum and resins make the heart balsamic and bright with pine and orange peel, and myrrh, labdanum and benzoin sink into a dark, sticky amber that cedar straightens.
