Patchouli Leaf
Patchouli became known in Europe through textiles, when dried leaves packed among shawls and fabrics shipped from India to keep insects away left their scent on the cloth. Under the leaf label the oil tends to be pitched greener and more herbal, its heavier, cellar-dark side kept in reserve and its fresh, leafy facet brought forward.
